Archiving negatives on a freezing Wednesday morning.
The past meets the present in a strange combination of negatives, contact sheets, hard drives, computers & memories.
Vicariously living through my past again through old photographs.
The extremely talented & all round good dude Boogie was kind enough to send me a signed copy of his amazing book 'Sao Paulo' & a limited shirt. It's hard to believe he shot the entire book in 1 week?! Thanks Boogie!
Thank you Aperture Foundation:)
On July 17, we welcomed the public to our first-ever Aperture Summer Open exhibition. The exhibition is a way to show work by a wider group of photographers on our walls, and in doing so, to take the temperature of contemporary photographic practice. Of his selections for the exhibition, Aperture executive director Chris Boot writes, “The work submitted for the exhibition left me with one overwhelming impression that caught me by surprise: that serious photography today, for all its self-awareness and sophistication, is characterized above all by a sense of joy.” TheSummer Open is on view until August 14.

Really pleased to have been selected to be part of this show:)

I think 2001 was the first time I photographed Dan. Since then, anytime I’ve run into him I’ve taken his portrait. Great person as well as a unique, talented individual.
